Brad "Bubby" Bohl

I was saved at the age of 12 while in a fishing boat

with my dad. I grew up in a christian home, parents very active in the church. Lived a very christian life while in that atmosphere. But then lived a worldly life with my friends. The worldly part taking control of my life. I started to smoke and drink and hang with the wrong crowd. Grew further and further from the Lord. Soon at the age of 19 got a girl pregnant and then married. Had a daughter and then found myself divorced. Again turning to the worldly ways. Found myself again married to a women who had 2 girls (which I adopted) and had another daughter with her. All the while living life the worlds way. Drinking and letting my Harley become my “little god”. Then again divorced. Then while out after a poker run I went to the bar of choice and that is where I met Diane.

I was saved in July of 1971. I was a bus-rider child. My parents put me on a bus every Sunday and off to church I went. I became very active in church up until high school... At about jr high age I started to live a double life. I started doing drugs and drinking, hanging with the wrong crowd. From there I was totally away from the Lord by the start of high school. Ended up pregnant and married at 17. Had 3 children and eventually after 16yrs of marriage divorced. Always leaving God in the back ground. Then in February of 1996 I met Bubby. We met in a local biker bar which we both went to often. It soon became our home away from home.

This is where our Testimony becomes one

We got married at that bar and continued to make it home. My dear friend invited us to her church and we attended here and there. Always proceeded by the bar. Slowly being convicted by the Lord. Finally in February of 2000 after a long day into the night of drinking, having my son with us at the time, I got upset with him and slapped him across the face. Bubby let my girlfriend take him home with her. But when we got home I got out of control and wanted to go get my boy. Long story short we got physical with each other. Unfortunately Bubby had enough and next thing he had my mouth and eye bleeding. My daughter came home and found her moms face bleeding and called the police. Well Bubby ended up in jail for a few days. Giving us both time to have the Lord tell us he had enough, time to change our lives. Which we did. We were apart for 2 weeks by court order and we both made a promise to God to make a fresh start with him in control. Found a church and were even re-baptized together, to make a new start and commited to God. Since then we have prayed for direction and guidance in our lives. Here we are 9 years sober and closer to God. Following where ever he leads us and ready to commit to our new adventure in the OverComers Motorcycle Ministry.
